Assistant Store Manager
Primary Purpose:
Under the direction of the CEO and the Executive team, the Assistant Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the MSU Bookstore. In addition to driving daily operations, the Assistant Store Manager oversees the strategic aspects of all departments in MSU Bookstore and coordinates such aspects with the CEO and Executive Management Team. This position serves as the primary contact for customer relations and case management on the Bozeman campus, and serves as the campus liaison to the MSU Bookstore Board of Directors.

On-Site Course Materials Manager
Primary Purpose:
The On-Site Textbook Manager oversees and leads the course materials department and its staff. In this role, the On-Site Textbook Manager maintains responsibility for helping to develop the strategic direction for the department; including maintaining the department budget, sales forecasts, and developing the yearly goals and objectives. The incumbent will be dynamic; having strong interpersonal skills, a desire to learn, educate, and embrace the mission of a not-for-profit, independent, cooperative bookstore. In addition to driving department strategy, the On-Site Textbook Manager oversees the course materials adoption process, pricing, ordering/receiving, returns, buyback, compliance, and all other facets of the course materials process in MSU Bookstore. An enhanced focus on pricing models, the ability to aggressively lower course materials pricing through marketplace sourcing, rentals, buyback, and price negotiation, are essential to the specific business model of MSU Bookstore.

Accounting Technician
Primary Purpose:
Under the direction of the CEO & Accounting Supervisor, the MSU Bookstore Accounting Technician is responsible with assisting the Accounting Department with a variety of tasks related to the full-cycle AP and AR associated with the MSU Bookstore and its subsidiaries. The MSU Bookstore Accounting Technician must have strong interpersonal skills, a desire to learn, educate, and embrace the mission of a not-for-profit, independent, cooperative bookstore, especially as it relates to building relationships with and explaining our purpose to customers.

Product Assistant
Primary Purpose:
In support of the MSU Bookstore mission, the Product Assistant is responsible for supporting all departments
within the MSU Bookstore including art/supplies, logo merchandise, the technology department, and
Blank Canvas Creative. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a desire to learn, educate, and fully

Event Coordinator
Primary Purpose:
Under the direction of the CEO, this position is primarily responsible for planning and executing premier special events as part of the larger sales and marketing goals for MSU Bookstore and its subsidiary corporations. The successful candidate will have a proven background in project management, a deep understanding of how to plan special events, market them to target audiences, and bring in speakers, authors, and other influencers to drive business for MSU Bookstore.

Primary Purpose:
Under the direction of the Chief Wellness Officer & on-site supervisors, the core objective of the MSU Bookstore Sales Associate is to drive sales by regularly engaging with all customers of the MSU Bookstore

Primary Purpose:
Under the direction of the Chief Branding Officer, the core objective of the Visual Merchandise Specialist is to take the lead in restocking the sales floor and presenting merchandise in an appealing manner that leads to sales and underscores the company’s mission and values.

Accounts Receivable Technician
Primary Purpose:
Under the direction of the CEO & MSU Bookstore, Inc. Accounting Supervisor, the Accounts Receivable Technician is responsible for completing all day-to-day functions associated with the receivables department of the MSU Bookstore and its subsidiaries in an ethical and legal framework. These duties include creating and reconciling daily cash drawers for MSU Bookstore and specialty campus events, reconciling all company credit cards, and acting in compliance with all state and federal reporting guidelines and laws.

Customer Service Supervisor
Primary Purpose:
Under the direction of the Executive Team and Store Manager, the Customer Service Supervisor is primarily responsible for serving as the main point-of-contact for guests of the MSU Bookstore via the phone, email, and in-person. The Customer Service Supervisor position is a front-facing, sales focused position that regularly requires this individual to interact with public by processing transactions, resolving customer complaints, and supporting the sales floor in a variety of different ways.

and Football games. Ideal for individuals interested in working occasionally throughout the year
or on an on-call basis. Job duties encompass various positions on an as-needed basis. Some
examples of jobs done include: Cashiers, door greeters/security, merchandise and textbook clerking
and stocking. Both students and non-students are welcome to apply. These positions require working
8 hour shifts, (including some Saturday shifts), lifting 10-50 lbs. continuously throughout the shift.

Incorporated in 1931, Montana State University Bookstore, Inc. (MSU Bookstore), is
a student-faculty owned cooperative that serves Montana State University and
the surrounding Gallatin Valley.
As a student-faculty owned co-op, the MSU Bookstore seeks to provide the lowest possible
pricing on textbooks for our students. This is done through rebating the excess profits of previous
years’ sales back to our student owners through aggressive textbook discounting. This ongoing
mission has allowed us to be a national leader in offering competitive course
material prices to our students.
Each MSU Bookstore employee is expected to promote an atmosphere of courtesy and
respect within the MSU Bookstore team by demonstrating positive leadership skills that build
up the culture within the MSU Bookstore. Some of these skills include such things as
