COVID-19 Updates


Covid-19 Fall Semester Plans/Polices/procedures


Entrance/Exit/Traffic flow
  • The Bookstore will utilize the Northwest main doors as an ENTRANCE ONLY
  • Stanchions and signage will be used to control traffic flow of this entrance
  • The North main doors, closest to the cash wrap area, will be for EXIT ONLY
  • Stanchions and signage will be used to control traffic flow of this entrance
  • The Southwest exit, located in Course Materials dept, will be for EMERGENCY USE ONLY
  • Signage recommending traffic flow will be posted throughout the store
  • There will be directional signage on the floor as well as posted at eye level where practical
  • Customers in line will be directed to stand 6 feet apart by utilizing floor stickers that denote proper spacing
  • Checkout lines will be set up accordingly to accommodate social distancing and smooth traffic flow to the best extent possible
  • Cashiers will be spaced at least 6 feet apart
  • Plexiglass will be installed in at least one section of each department’s transaction areas to limit aerosolized exposure
  • Employees should maintain social distancing guidelines while in the back office areas of the Bookstore Sanitization/Masks
  • Masks that meet the CDC guidelines will be worn by all employees
  • Customers will be required to wear masks to enter the Bookstore during the month of August due to high traffic flow.
  • Outside of the August timeframe, the Bookstore may choose to follow standard campus policy, should it become less restrictive
  • Each department is responsible for regularly cleaning/sanitizing their high-touch areas throughout the day
  • Pin pads will be sanitized after each transaction
  • Plexiglass and counters should be wiped down frequently
  • Employees are provided sanitation stations throughout the store and are encouraged to use them frequently
  • Hand sanitizer will be made available at each register throughout the Bookstore
  • Dressing rooms will be locked at all times to control entrance/usage and will be sanitized after each customer use
    Contact tracing/Quarantine

  • Bookstore staff are required to report if they have come into contact with someone who has, or is suspected to have come into contact with, or has been tested for, COVID-19
  • Bookstore staff should not come to work if they do not feel well
  • Bookstore staff who develop symptoms of COVID-19 should notify the HR Manager in case contact tracing becomes necessary due to a positive test result
  • The Bookstore will follow campus policy regarding contract tracing and/or logging of visitors
